A tour one of its kind – Flumin’ Kohala is a unique way to touch and feel the hidden beauty of Hawaii with friendly locals. A great opportunity to understand a piece of the Big Island’s culture, history and people.!

For years Big Island – Hawi visitors have enjoyed this experience of floating down the Kohala Ditch in an inflatable kayak … through tunnels and over flumes and past tropical rain forest with many pretty little waterfalls.

The Kohala Ditch system is one of many historical monuments in North Kohala which was completed by the Japanese laborers in 1905, initially to be used as an irrigation system from Mauna Kea to sugar cane fields of north Koahala.

An affordable, family-friendly, one of a kind tour in Hawaiian laid-back style and a must do if you are in the area. Tickets can be purchased in advance through their official site. Get ready to soak yourself (literally!) while enjoying some great honeysuckles and berries on the way!
